USEPA Pretreatment Training

IET-Aquaresearch Ltd participated in Pretreatment training seminar organized by EPA Region 1 (New England).

11th Annual Pretreatment Training for EPA Region 1 was held on September 9-10  in Chelmsford, MA.

Mr. Mark Antalek from Town of Framingham, MA (Bacta-Pur® client) and Dr. Karl F. Ehrlich, Vice-President of Bacta-Pur/IET-Aquaresearch Ltd did a joint presentation on FOGs. Framingham has been using the Bacta-Pur® System for many years. Mr. Antalek reported what city has done and seen since start with Bacta-Pur® treatment. Dr. Ehrlich explained the biochemical processes involved in biological grease reduction. Moreover, he participated  in a panel discussion on biodegradation of pharmaceuticals in wastewater together with Dr. Ned Barden from MA School of Pharmacy and Mr. Jay Pimpare from EPA Region 1.
